SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University Department of Athletics is pleased to announce the addition of track & field standout Hafiz Greigre ‘07 to the prestigious Athletics Hall of Fame.
Greigre is the fourth of the nine-member Hall of Fame Class of 2017. The remaining five members will be announced over the course of the next week on bryantbulldogs.com.
Very rarely does a single athlete standout in a multi-event sport such as track & field, but Hafiz Greigre ‘07 is one those individuals. Blessed with brilliant speed and quickness, Greigre dominated multiple events during his career from 2004-07. Bryant’s first-ever New England Champion, he earned All-New England honors during both the indoor and outdoor track seasons and competed individually at the Division II National Track & Field Championships in the 400 meters. He currently holds nine Bryant school records, including indoor records in the 55 meters (6.38 seconds), 60m (6.81), 200m (21.33), and long jump (22 feet, 9.25 inches), and outdoor records in the 100m (10.63), 200m (21.02), 400m (46.37), long jump (23-0.5) and 4x100 meter relay (41.75).
The nine-member Hall of Fame Class of 2017 will be inducted on Friday, November 3, 2017 at the Bello Center.
