Richard Mott
Richard Mott was an outstanding basketball and baseball player, plus a track performer, at Bryant & Stratton in the early 30's. He was a standout guard for the 1930 Bryant & Stratton basketball team, which was coached by the late Lionel Mercier, a 1988 Hall of Fame inductee. Following his playing days at Bryant & Stratton, he enjoyed an outstanding amateur baseball career playing for the Bristol (RI) Olympians. Known as the "Bunting King of Bristol," the 5-7 outfielder possessed outstanding speed and bat control. In 1981, he was inducted into the Bristol Athletic Hall of Fame for his performances while at Colt High (Bristol), Bryant & Stratton and as an amateur baseball player.
