Tom Bass

Tennis 1966-1969

Tom was one of Bryant's all-time leading tennis players.

In 1969, he won the New England NAIA regional singles championship, marking the only time a Bryant player had won a regional singles title in the past 25 year. He also competed in the 1969 NAIA national tournament in Kansas City. During his two-year career at Bryant, following his transfer from junior college, Tom won 90 percent of his dual matches - one of the all-time winning percentages in the history of Bryant tennis.

After graduating, he became a highly successful tennis pro in the Long Island, N.Y., area. He earned national recognition for his teaching skills before leaving the active teaching ranks to devote more time to his real estate and sports facility management firm.
