Michael Williams

Arguably the best big man ever to play basketball at Bryant, Mike Williams enjoyed a stellar career at Bryant from 2000-05, playing a key role in the team’s run to the NCAA Division II National Championship game as a senior in 2005. Williams led Bryant to its first-ever Northeast Regional Championship with a win over rival Bentley to earn a spot in the NCAA Elite Eight, and the 6-foot-11 center recorded an amazing 35 rebounds and 19 blocks in  a trio of regional tournament contests. The 2005 NCAA Division II Sportsmanship Award recipient currently holds all of Bryant’s single-game, single-season and career blocking records and ranks third all-time with 987-career rebounds and second in school history with a 7.7 career rebounding average. After graduation, Williams went on to play professionally overseas in the European Professional League and for the Irish National Team.
