BRYANT UNIVERSITY ATHLETICS HALL OF FAME
CELEBRATING THE BULLDOG TRADITION
Around the turn of the century, Bryant University added four new varsity sports. The addition of football and field hockey in 1999, followed by men's lacrosse in 2000 and women's lacrosse in the spring of 2002, were all part of the New Century Plan for Excellence put forth by President Ronald K. Machtley.
The Hall of Fame Induction Dinner served as a beautiful kickoff to the Homecoming & Reunion Weekend as alumni, current members of the Hall of Fame, several Bryant trustees and family, plus coaches and friends filled the Heidi and Walter Stepan Grand Hall in the George E. Bello Center.
The Bryant University Athletics Hall of Fame honors any alumnus who has attained outstanding recognition or superior accomplishments in any varsity sport. Started in 1987, the Hall of Fame consists of the finest former athletes, contributors, former coaches and administrators and teams.
Nominations may be submitted by members of the Bryant University Alumni Association, Top of the Key Club, and by representatives of the university.
The Hall of Fame Committee voted in 2009 to move the Hall of Fame to every two years starting in 2011 and have voted to move the date of the induction dinner and ceremony to the fall around a home football weekend on the Bryant campus.
