SMITHFIELD, R.I. - March Madness has arrived early in Smithfield as both basketball teams will host conference tournament games this week at the Chace Center.

Pat Sullivan previews the women's upcoming first-round matchup with senior captain Erin Murphy (Albany, NY) and head coach Mary Burke and looks at the men's quarterfinal game with senior captain Dan Hammond (New Brunswick, ME) and assistant coach Dashon Gaither.

The women's team (18-9, 14-8 NE-10) are the seventh seed in the tournament and host tenth-ranked Saint Michael's Sunday at 2 p.m. Meanwhile the men (18-9, 14-8 NE-10) received a bye in the first round as the fourth seed and will host the winner of No. 12 Merrimack/No. 5 AIC Monday at 7 p.m. Both games can be heard live at bryantbulldogs.com

Sullivan also recaps the week in Bryant athletics which featured two basketball senior night victories as well as baseball's six-game road trip to Florida. He will also look ahead to the much anticipated season opener for Mike Pressler's men's lacrosse team as they will host Adelphi Saturday at 1 p.m. on the turf field.
