Third Installment of Bryant Weekly Sports Roundup Released

SMITHFIELD, R.I. - The third installment of the Bryant University Sports Roundup is now available to be downloaded online, courtesy of Stretch Internet. Anchored by Pat Sullivan, this edition features the Bulldogs Men's and Women's Basketball teams, both of which are on hot streaks.

The women have won four straight and are 10-5 overall and Sullivan sits down with Head Coach Mary Burke and senior captain Erin Murphy (Albany, NY)  to talk about the team's recent success and their holiday trip to Miami, Fla. Bryant upset #24 Saint Rose last Saturday at the Chace Center and defeated Assumption Tuesday night in Worcester, Mass.

Meanwhile, Max Good's squad is on a two-game winning streak after defeating Assumption College Tuesday night. Assistant Coach Dashon Gathier talks about his team's on-court success. The men's game against Pace Thursday night (7:30 p.m.) at the Chace Center will be aired on Cox Cable Channel 3 at 8 p.m. Friday (tape delay).

Finally, Sullivan sits down with Assistant Athletic Director/Director of External Relations Jason Sullivan, who will be the Master of Ceremonies at Bryant's Hall of Fame Banquet this Saturday night. This year's class features four former student-athletes, one coach and for the first time in the history of the Bryant Hall of fame, a team will be inducted during during the festive evening at the Bello Center. Beth Connealy '96, Charlie Mandeville, Jon Sjogren '88, Mike McKenna '86, Dan Mazulla and 1966-67 Men's Basketball Team will be enshrined  January 13, 2007.
