Ari Shapiro-Miller joins the Bryant coaching staff as the Director of Basketball Operations in 2010 after spending four years as an assistant coach at Saint Michael's College in Burlington, Vt.

Shapiro-Miller spent the past two seasons as the lead assistant under Saint Michael's head coach Tom O'Shea after being promoted in 2008. Shapiro-Miller helped lead the Purple Knights to a 16-13 season in his first year with the program in 2006-07. 

During his tenure at Saint Michael's, Shapiro-Miller coached two Northeast-10 Conference All-Rookie selections in Travis Warech (2009) and Tyler Schilling (2008). Schilling finished the 2008 season first in the nation among freshmen in rebounds and 11th overall among all Division II players.

Shapiro-Miller graduated from the University of Massachsetts Amherst in 2004 with an undergraduate degree in sports management and earned his master's degree in psychology from Saint Michael's in 2011. While in Amherst, Shapiro-Miller worked under head men's basketball coach Steve Lappas as the team's film manager. His responsibilities for the NCAA Division I program included scouting, producing edit tapes and managing the team's video editing technology.

Shapiro-Miller has been actively involved in many summer basketball camps. He has served as a coach and instructor at Five Star Camp, Eastern Invitational, Jim Boeheim Big Orange Basketball Camp and the University of Massachusetts Basketball Camp, in addition to his work with Saint Michael's summer camps.
