Bob McIntyre begins his first year as a member of the Bryant University football staff in 2010 after a successful career as an assistant coach at Nassau Community College in Garden City, N.Y. from 2008-2009 where he coached the defensive backs. This fall, McIntyre will assist Greg Gigantino with coaching the Bulldogs' inside linebackers.

A 1976 graduate of Salem College in Salem, West Virginia, McIntyre previously spent 16 years as an assistant coach at Hofstra University (1989-2005) where he coached the team’s linebackers.  While at Hofstra, coaching under the legendary and late coach Joe Gardi, McIntyre coached eight players who would sign professional contracts with NFL teams.   While at Hofstra, he would earned a Masters Degree in Health Education in 1988, graduating with distinction. 

During his coaching career, McIntyre coached at Sandusky Perkins High School in Ohio from 1978-82, West Hempstead High School in NY from 1983-88 and 2006-2007 where he served as the head coach for six of those seasons.  As head coach, he coached West Hempstead to the Big 4 County Championship in 1986.
