Rachel Chamberlain completed her first season as the goalkeeping coach for the Bryant University field hockey team under head coach Shaunessy Saucier. In the 2010 season, the Bulldogs became the first team in school history to qualify for a Division I postseason with a Northeast Conference tournament appearance. They ended the season third in the conference standings with a 8-12, 5-2 NEC record.  With the help of Chamberlain, goalkeeper Jennifer Gullotti (Waltham, Mass.) headed a strong Bulldog defense to finish the year second in the NEC with 144 total saves and third with a .825 save percentage against conference opponents. Gullotti's 7.20 saves per game would rank 12th nationally.

Chamberlain joins the Bulldog coaching staff after a stellar four-year career at nearby Providence College, where she was a four-time All-Big East selection between the pipes. A two-time Big East Goalkeeper of the Year for the Friars, Chamberlain is the first player in PC history to earn all-conference nods in each of her four seasons.

Chamberlain was named a National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) All-American as a rookie in 2006, a season that also saw her named the Rhode Island Female Athlete of the Year by Words Unlimited.

She earned an NFHCA Senior All-Star nomination in 2009 and was named the Big East Preseason Defensive Player of the Year pick entering her senior campaign. Chamberlain was nine times selected as the Big East Defensive Player of the Week, all while maintaining strong marks across her coursework.

For her performance inside the classroom, Chamberlain was rewarded with four-consecutive Big East Academic All-Star honors and was twice named to the NFHCA Division I All-Academic Squad.

In addition to her Bryant coaching duties, Chamberlain is currently the head goalkeeping coach with Lead the Way Field Hockey in Seekonk, Mass., where she designs elite training sessions to instruct goalkeepers of all ages. Chamberlain also works as a financial advisor at Legacy Financial Group/MassMutual Insurance Company in Providence, R.I.

A 2010 graduate of Providence College, Chamberlain earned her Bachelor of Arts in English and American Studies with a writing minor and currently resides in Providence, R.I.
