Former associate head coach and offensive coordinator at Becker College, coach Bob Grammer begins his first year on the staff at Bryant University in 2010. With more than twenty years of college coaching experience, Grammer also served as the quarterbacks coach and recruiting coordinator at Becker for the past two seasons (2008, 2009). At Bryant this fall, he'll coach the Bulldogs' running backs.
A former free safety and punt returner at the University of New Haven from 1987-89, Grammer began his coaching career at New Haven where he coached the defensive backs. In 1992 and 1993, the Chargers averaged 50 points per game.
From 1993 to 1994, he served as the head coach and offensive coordinator for the New England Crusaders based out of Hartford, Conn. For two years following the stint with the Crusaders, Grammer coached the quarterbacks and receivers at Fort Scott Community College in Kansas where he helped place eight players on Division I rosters.
In 1997 he returned to New England where he coached at Western Connecticut from 1997 to 2001 and later at Wesleyan University from 2002-03 serving as the team’s pass game coordinator, receivers coach and kickoff team coordinator.
From 2004-07, Grammer coached at Central Methodist University in Missouri, serving as the Associate Head Coach. During his tenure at Central Methodist, Grammer served as the offensive coordinator where he focused on the quarterbacks and receivers and later adding special teams to his responsibilities.
Grammer and his wife Maryann have a three daughters: Emily (4), Sophia (1), and four-month old Alyssa.
