BULLDOGS SERVE AS CELEBRITY READERS TO LOCAL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

BULLDOGS SERVE AS CELEBRITY READERS AT LOCAL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

SMITHFIELD, R.I. - Bryant University's student-athletes recently took part in the Celebrity Readers Program through the athletic department's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (S.A.A.C) and spent the day at LaPerche Elementary School in Smithfield. 

Members of the Bulldog baseball team spent part of the day reading to various classes, spending time during recess and finished the day off by spending lunch with the students. 

Throughout the past couple of years, Bryant University's student-athletes and Tupper the Bulldog, have visited several schools in the area, including LaPerche Elementary, and enjoyed spending time with the students through the reading program. 

Members of the men's and women's tennis teams as well as softball and women's lacrosse  are scheduled to visit LaPerche in December.
