Mark Hodgkin is in his second year as the Director of Marketing & Promotions for Bryant University athletics. His duties consist of promoting the University's 22 varsity athletic teams with a focus on increased attendance from the campus and local Northern Rhode Island communties.
Hodgkin's duties also include fund raising work with Black & Gold Club and he oversaw the creation of Bryant's Sports Marketing Association, an internship program in the athletic department for Bryant undergraduates with an interest in sports marketing.
Hodgkin also assists Director of Sports Communication Jason Sullivan and assistant director of Sports Communication Allie Weinberger and serves as the primary Sports Information contact for the Softball team.
His other duties include ticket sales and distribution, promotions, and working with the department's corporate partners.
Hodgkin graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in May of 2006 with a bachelor's degree in History and a minor in Government. He is now working on his MBA at Bryant University.
Prior to coming to Bryant, Hodgkin covered the University of Texas' men's tennis and softball teams and was a columnist for the Daily Texan in Austin. He also held an internship in the Office of Texas Governor Rick Perry.
A native Rhode Islander, Hodgkin is a 2002 graduate of Barrington High School in nearby Barrington, Rhode Island. While at BHS, Hodgkin was the editor of The Talon, a decorated student newspaper which won the Providence Journal's Scholastic Newspaper Competition in 2002.
Hodgkin currently resides in Pawtucket, Rhode Island.
