A Connecticut native, Melanie Gran begins her seventh year as a member of the Bryant University Athletic Training staff in the fall of 2007. This fall will be her third year as Bryant's Assistant Athletic Trainer after she was promoted to the position in August of 2005.
While at Bryant, Gran assists head athletic trainer Patrick O'Sullivan with all athletic training services for Bryant's 22 intercollegiate sports programs. Licensed in Rhode Island and member of National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA), Gran works primarily with Bryant's field hockey, men's soccer, basketball and softball teams during the year.
A native of Monroe, Connecticut, Gran is a 2002 graduate of St. Andrew's Presbyterian College in Laurinburg, North Carolina, served is several capacities as an undergraduate, including working as a student athletic trainer and assisting the St. Andrew's Sports Information Department.
