MEN'S BASKETBALL MOVES UP TO SIXTH IN REGION; WOMEN SEVENTH
SMITHFIELD, RI - The Bryant men's basketball team moved up to No. 6 in the NCAA Northeast Regional rankings this week in the final poll before the NCAA tournament field is selected Sunday evening. Bryant, which fell to Saint Anselm in the Northeast-10 Conference quarterfinals on Monday, is currently 20-8 overall this season. Bentley retains the top position as the Falcons are hosting Southern N.H. Thursday night for a conference semifinal. Adelphi of the NYCAC Conference, is ranked No. 2 with Saint Anselm at No. 3. Eight teams will advance to the NCAA Regional Championship that will take place March 12-15.
The Bryant women are also ranked in the top-eight this week as the Bulldogs are currently No. 7 in the regional poll also released today. The NCAA will announce the field of 64 for the NCAA tournament this Sunday night. More information can be found at www.ncaasports.com
