FOUR HONORED BY NORTHEAST-10 WITH WEEKLY HONORS

SMITHFIELD, RI - Bryant University's men's basketball senior John Williams was named the NE-10 Player of the Week and freshman forward Jarrenn Wright was named NE-10 Freshman of the Week the conference announced today. In addition, women's basketball standout Shannon Perry was named Player of the Week while track speedster Hafiz Greigre was named Track Athlete of the Week after winning two conference titles and setting a pair of school records at last Saturday's conference championships.

Williams averaged 31.5 points (12-33 3PTS, 11-12 FT), six rebounds, 2.5 assists and two steals in a pair of wins on the week.  He tallied 33 points (11-23 FG, 6-15 3PTS), five rebounds and four assists in a win over Saint Michael's and followed with 30 points (6-18 3PTS) and seven rebounds in a victory over No. 20 Bentley. This past week, Williams became Bryant's all-time career leader with 306 three-pointers.

 Wright (pictured), a native of Cincinnati, OH, averaged 14.5 points and five rebounds in a 2-0 week. Scored eight points (4-7 FG) against Saint Michael's and came up big with a career-high 21 points (9-12 FG) and pulled down six rebounds in a win versus No. 20 Bentley.

Perry averaged 25 points (16-34 FG) and 13 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 4.5 steals in a 1-1 week. Had 26 points and 13 rebounds in a win over Saint Michael's, shooting 7-for-15 from the floor and 12-for-13 from the free throw line. Followed with 25 points (9-19 FG) and 13 rebounds against Bentley.

Hafiz Greigre, Bryant (So., Attleboro, MA) - Captured first place in both the 55 meters (new school record time of 6.44) and 200 meters, crossing the line in 22.05, at the Northeast-10 Conference Championship. Placed second in the men's long jump, setting another new school record with a leap of 22 feet, 1.75 inches.
