BRYANT BASKETBALL HOSTS PAIR OF NATIONALLY-RANKED TEAMS SATURDAY
Bulldogs Host Stonehill College for Men's and Women's Doubleheader at the Chace Athletic Center

SMITHFIELD, RI – The Bryant men's and women's basketball teams will return to action Saturday afternoon, hosting nationally ranked Stonehill College for a Northeast-10 Conference doubleheader starting with the women's game at 1:30 pm. That game will be followed with the men's contest at 3:30 p.m.

The Bryant women look to bounce back from Thursday's 85-69 loss at rival Bentley College as the Bulldogs host undefeated Stonehill College Saturday at 1:30 p.m. The Bulldogs are led by senior La Salle graduate Shannon Perry who has averaged a double-double in the fourt games she has been with the program. She carries a 16.5 ppg average into Saturday's game while teammate Joanna Skiba of Providence is next with 15.7 ppg.  Stonehill, ranked 17th nationally, knocked off 13th-ranked (and previously undefeated) AIC Thursday night.

On the men's side, the Bulldogs are peaking at just the right time once again as the Bryant takes a four-game win streak into Saturday's contest with the Skyhawks.  Stonehill, the last team to defeat Bryant, 63-51 in Easton, MA back on Dec. 10, brings a No. 24 national ranking and 10-1 record into today's game.  Bryant is coming off a 77-63 win over Bentley Thursday night as John Williams scored 20 points while Nick Pontes had 16.  Since the loss to Stonehill, Bryant has rattled off wins over Bloomfield (102-78), Holy Family (111-71), Assumption (94-88) and Bentley.
