FOOD DRIVE FOR THE HOLIDAYS

December 7, 2006

As the weather gets colder, the Bryant basketball season is heating up! The Bulldog men's and women's teams are both sitting at 3-2 in conference as we enter December. Both teams remind you to "Pack the Pound" and support the teams throughout the season.

This Saturday, however, Bryant University athletic department would also like to take a chance to help those less fortunate and share the true spirit of the season by running a food drive to benefit the Rhode Island Community Food Bank.

All fans who bring a donation for the Rhode Island Community Food Bank will be admitted to both the men's and women's games this Saturday, December 9, at 1:30pm. Donations can be given in the form of a non-perishable food item, canned good or monetary donation. While Bryant students, faculty, and staff are always admitted free of charge, we ask you to please bring a donation to help the cause. It is also a great chance to bring in basketball fans from outside the University to experience the excitement of Bryant basketball.

The Women's game tips off at 1:30pm in the Chace Center, to be followed immediately by the men's game. The Food Drive will also continue for the Women's game Sunday December 17 against Bridgeport at 2pm.
