BURNS AND SKIBA HONORED BY RHODE ISLAND MEDIA
WARWICK, RI - Bryant University senior basketball standouts
Chris Burns and Joanna Skiba were named Players of the Year
respectively by the Rhode Island Media during its awards luncheon
Monday afternoon. Burns finishes his career having won more
than 90 career games including three trips to the NCAA Sweet
Sixteen.
Skiba, a three-time all-conference selection, went over the 1,000 career point mark earlier this season and was Bryant's top scoring leader throughout the season.
Also honored by the media were University of Rhode Island basketball coach Jim Baron (Coach of the Year), Providence College senior forward Herbert Hill (Player of the Year) and Bob Walsh of Rhode Island College who was named the Division II/III Coach of The Year.
