Grange, a four-year standout as a member of the women's soccer team at Bryant, became the first women's soccer player in school history to earn All-American honors after a record breaking season in 2007.
Grange set a school mark with 19 goals on the season in leading the Bulldogs to the NCAA tournament. A First Team All-Northeast-10 Conference pick, Grange finished tied for first in the conference for goals scored and became Bryant's first player to record 100 points in a career.
Perry capped off his brilliant two-year football career this past fall, leading the Bulldogs to not only their first-ever share of the Northeast-10 Conference title but helped guide Bryant to its first-ever NCAA postseason playoff appearance.
Named the MVP of the Northeast-10 and All-American, Perry ranked second nationally with an average of 188.7 yards rushing per game last season. He rushed for 1,924 yards and 20 touchdowns in 2006.
Other award winners on the evening included Liz Moore (Clifton Park, NY) of the women's lacrosse team who was named the female recipient of the William T. O'Hara Award for leadership both on the field and in the community. A captain of the women's lacrosse team and starting defender, Moore was the chair of Bryant's S.A.A.C. and alumni association representative.
Men's basketball's Chris Burns (Merrimack, NH) and baseball's Mike Rocco (Tewksbury, Mass.) shared the honor as the male recipients of the O'Hara award. Burns helped lead the Bulldogs to their fourth-straight NCAA tournament while Rocco notched his 200th career base hit last week.
Men's soccer senior Samuel Grande (Herkimer, NY) and cross country standout Jennifer Goodwin (Yarmouthport, Mass.) were honored as Bryant's Scholar Athletes.
Annette Jervasi (Colchester, Conn.) of the women's tennis team was named as Bryant's NCAA Woman of the Year for 2006-07. Jervasi went undefeated in conference play this season and was a first team all-conference selection at No. 2 singles. Senior Beth Schlatterer (Arlington Heights, ILL) was awarded Bryant's Community Service Award.
One of the many highlights on the evening was the announcement of the Omar Shareef Spirit Award which went to football senior Joe Knight (Billerica, Mass.). Knight was voted by the student-athletes for his tremendous support of each and every team throughout the year.
