SMITHFIELD, RI - Bryant Student-Athletes have been generous during
past holiday seasons and this year is no different. The
Bulldogs recently took park in a food drive with the Smithfield
Food Bank, supporting nine LaPerche Elementary school families in
need during the holiday season. In addition to collecting
several hundred pounds of non-perishable food items to be shared
with the LaPerche families and the Smithfield Food Bank, the
student-athletes also collected $350 in cash for the purchase of
holiday turkeys.
As in years past, the Bulldogs and the Nickerson Community Center are joining forces once again in support of the greater Providence community this holiday season. Bulldog teams are adopting 13 Nickerson families to make holiday wishes come true. S.A.A.C. has also added six soldiers to support with holiday care packages.
In conjunction with the Bryant and Providence College R.O.T.C. program, Bryant student-athletes will supply holiday gifts to these local families as well as the Bryant and Providence College alumni defending the country overseas during the holidays.
