THREE BRYANT SENIORS HONORED AT INTERCULTURAL CENTER AWARDS BANQUET
SMITHFIELD, RI - The Intercultural Center at Bryant recognized
several seniors at the seventh annual Senior Awards Banquet for
their hard work and dedication to the Bryant community over the
last four years. Included were Marcus Lindsey
(Bridgeport, CT), Likica Grceva
(Macedonia), and Christopher Walker (Brooklyn,
NY). Each were recipients of the 2008 ICC Jim Thorpe
Athletic Award.
Lindsey was the recipient of the Bryant University Football Academic Achievement Award three years in a row. He also served as co-chair of the Student Athletic Advisory Committee and co-captain of the football team for two years.
Grceva is the 2007 NE-10 Conference Championship Tournament MVP and led her team to two NCAA Tournament appearances. She was also awarded the NE-10 Player of the Week seven times in 2007. In addition to volleyball, Grceva participated in Special Olympics, Relay for Life, L.E.A.D. as well as the Student Athletic Advisory Committee.
Walker was a member of the football team throughout his Bryant career. He also served as a Student Service Leader, Raise Your Voice Week Co-Chair, Student Activities Even Coordinator, and a peer educator with the CVS Highland Middle School.
