The Bryant men's and women's basketball teams wrap up the regular season Tuesday night at Merrimack College. The first round of the Northeast-10 tournament starts this weekend.  The men are tied for fourth in the conference standings with Stonehill.  A win and a Stonehill loss would give Bryant a first round bye into Monday's quarterfinals.  Stonehill visits Saint Anselm Tuesday. The women are sixth in the standings and will likely be hosting a first round game Sunday at 2 pm.

BULLDOG WEEKLY ROUNDUP ...

MEN'S AND WOMEN'S SWIMMING
The Bryant University men's swim team finished fifth after the final day of competition at the New England Division II - III Championships.  Bentley won the overall team title followed by Keene State, Norwich and Roger Williams.  Ferrigno was named the Swimmer of the Meet for his performances throughout the weekend.  On Sunday, the junior won the 1650 in a school record and National B cut time OF 16:09.76.  Ray Savner (Bethlehem, CT) placed sixth in the men's 100 freestyle in 49.93 seconds while freshman Matt Derwin (Cheshire, CT) capped a strong weekend with a third-place finish in the 200 butterfly in 2:02.67.  John Cieslewski (Watertown, CT) took home fourth in the 100 individual medley, setting a new school record in the process by touching the wall in 58.01 seconds.  In the relays, the 400 free took fourth, also setting a school record of 3:19.76.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL (16-10, 11-10 NE-10)
The Bryant women's basketball team dropped an 87-75 game last Tuesday at conference leader Stonehill. Senior guard Lynne-Ann Kokoski (Hatfield, MA) had a career-high 25 points in the loss. The Bulldogs wrap up the regular season Tuesday at Merrimack before hosting a first round playoff game Sunday at 2 p.m.  Bryant will play host to either Saint Michael's, Saint Rose or Pace pending the outcome of Tuesday's games.  Stonehill, Franklin Pierce, Assumption and Bentley are the top four teams in the standings heading into the week.

MEN'S BASKETBALL (16-10, 12-9 NE-10)
The Bryant men's basketball team fell to Stonehill Tuesday night, 63-54 as the Skyhawks complete the season sweep of the Bulldogs.  Pete Lambert (Cumberland, RI) had 15 points on five 3-point baskets.  The Bulldogs travel to Merrimack Tuesday night. A win coupled with a Stonehill loss would give the Bulldogs the fourth spot in the standings and a first round bye in the upcoming Northeast-10 Conference tournament this weekend.

INDOOR TRACK
The Bryant men's and women's indoor track teams placed fourth respectively at the 2008 Northeast-10 Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships at Southern Connecticut State University Saturday.  Southern Connecticut won both men's and women's championships with Stonehill men taking second and the Stonehill women finishing as runners up on the women's side. Bryant was led by senior standout Nicole Radzik (Sutton, MA) who won both the women's 3,000 meters and 5,000 meters in earning Women's Athlete of the Meet honors. Radzik won the 3,000m in a time of 10:35:16 and followed with a first place finish in the 5,000 meters later in the afternoon in 19:41.10.
