SAINT ANSELM DEFEATS BRYANT 3-2 IN 11 INNINGS

SMITHFIELD, RI - Tom Sheehan's two-out single to left scored Mark Wysocki with the go ahead run in the eleventh as Saint Anselm rallied back from down 2-0 to defeat Bryant University 3-2 here Tuesday. Saint Anselm scored a pair of unearned runs in the seventh and pushed across the winning run in the 11th after Wysocki reached on an error by Bryant shortstop Jason Alexander to lead off the inning.
Wysocki, who went 2-for-5 at the plate, moved to second on a sacrifice by Josh Skowyra and came around to beat the throw on Sheehan's single into left off Bryant reliever Chris Bowser.
Saint Anselm improves to 9-9 with the win and 5-4 in the Northeast-10 Conference as Sheehan had a big day at the plate for the Hawks, going 4-for-5 with a run scored.
Bryant (12-11, 6-5 NE-10), led 1-0 in the third as Mickey Ryan led off the inning with a single to left and after stealing second and advancing to third on a wild pitch, scored on Adam Rourke's groundout to second.
The Bulldogs would make it 2-0 as Chris Brown, who reached on a single and moved to third on a stolen base and ground out, scored on a wild pitch from Saint Anselm starter Ryan Williams.
Bryant will travel to Saint Anselm on Thursday for a 3:30 p.m. game in Manchester, N.H.
