Baseball Falls to Florida Southern, 9-4 on Saturday

LAKELAND, Fla. - Mickey Ryan homered and Mike Rocco went 2-for-5 but it was not enough as the Bryant baseball team dropped the second game of a three-game series at top-ranked Florida Southern, 9-4 Saturday. The Bulldogs will take on the Great Britain National Team at Winter Haven tonight in an exhibition game before closing out the three-game series with Florida Southern Sunday at 2 p.m.

Paul Novakowski was 1-for-3 at the plate with a double and two runs scored while Daryle Crowley also doubled in the game.  The Bulldogs led 2-0 in the top of the first inning but Florida Southern rallied with runs in the second and third to tie it at 2-2. 

Florida Southern put the game away with six runs in the seventh to improve to 11-0 on the year.  Eric Loh took the loss on the mound for the Bulldogs (0-2).
