Bulldogs Defeat AIC 4-0
Box Score

SMITHFIELD, RI -  Mike Rocco (Tewksbury, Mass.) and Nick Tucarella (Salem, N.H.) had a pair of hits while senior pitcher Stephen Sloan (Franklin, Mass.) pitched seven scoreless innings to help lead the Bryant University baseball team to a 4-0 win over American International here Tuesday.
Bryant scored all the runs they would need in the first two innings as the Bulldogs wasted little time getting to Yellow Jacket starter Uchon Li (Windsor Locks, Conn.).  After Mickey Ryan (Lowell, Mass.) and Rocco singled to open the game, Daryle Crowley (Danvers, Mass.) doubled in Ryan to put Bryant up 1-0.  Two batters later, Tucarella would line a double down the right field line to score both Rocco and Crowley and the Bulldogs led 3-0 and would add another run in the bottom of the second.
Sloan, a senior all-American, went seven innings allowing just four hits while striking out five.  Bryant (7-6) will host Assumption Wednesday (3 p.m.) in a makeup game from last week.
