BRYANT BASEBALL DEFEATS AIC THURSDAY

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Jason Alexander went 2-for-3 and Eric Loh pitched eighth scoreless innings as the Bryant University baseball team picked up a 7-2 win over American International Thursday.

The Bulldogs led 1-0 thanks to a Paul Novakowski sacrifice fly in the third and made it 2-0 with another sacrifice fly by Mickey Ryan to score Ryan Doyle in the fourth.  The Bulldogs would add another run in the fifth and tack on four more in the top half of the eighth keyed by three Yellow Jacket errors in the inning.

Jason Alexander had two of Bryant's eight hits on the afternoon as Chris Bowser came on to pitch the ninth.

Bryant will host Southern Connecticut on Friday (3 p.m.).  The game was originally scheduled for Sunday but was moved to Friday due to anticipated rain this weekend. Saturday's scheduled doubleheader at Southern Connecticut will be played at New Haven on Sunday.
