BRYANT BASEBALL FALLS TO STONEHILL, 5-2

    SMITHFIELD, RI --  Coley Lyons went 3-for-5 with an RBI to help lift visiting Stonehill College to a 5-2 win over Bryant University in Northeast-10 Conference baseball action Wednesday.  With the win, Stonehill improves to 22-15 on the season (15-10 NE-10) while Bryant drops to 21-18, 15-12 in conference.
 
     Stonehill struck first with a pair of run in the top of the first inning as Lyons singled in in Craig Audette.  But Bryant bounced back with two runs in the bottom of the first on back to back singles by Mike Rocco and Chris Neil. 

     After Stonehill evened the score at 2-2 with run in the second, the Chieftains scored a pair of unearned runs in the seventh to pull out the win.  Nick SantaBarbara went the distance for Stonehill, holding Bryant to a pair of runs - one unearned - on eight hits while striking out five.

     Stephen Sloan took the loss for the Bulldogs, going 6 2/3 innings, allowing nine hits and striking out three. 

     Bryant will travel to UMass Lowell on Friday for a 4 p.m. game.
