2006 Season Outlook: Chad will be used as an outfielder and as a lefthanded setup option out of the bullpen.

As a Sophomore: Appeared in 27 games, starting in 15. Had 35 putouts and made only one error. Stole two bases in two attempts.

As a Freshman: Saw action in 19 games as the team's primary pinch runner. He also earned two starts in the outfield. Scored a run vs. Rollins at the College World Series. Had his best game with three runs and a pair of RBIs vs. Columbia Union on March 7, 2004.

Before Bryant: Chad is a 2003 graduate of Glastobury High School. He was a two-time all-conference and all-academic team selection.

Personal: Chad was born November 6, 1984. He is the son of Mary Catherine Cary and Mark Valenti. His concentration is international business.
