Before Bryant: Al is a 2005 graduate of Shrewsbury High School where he was the catcher for the Colonial baseball team. He was named captain in his junior and senior year. Al also was a league and central Mass. all-star. He also competed in hockey and golf.

Personal: Al was born on June 26, 1987 and resides in Shrewsbury, MA. He is the son of Bill and Carolyn Lavin. He is currently majoring in Marketing.
