Taylor Ferguson Named Northeast-10 Freshamn of the Week
EASTON, MASS. - After getting eight hits in 19 at-bats (.421), including three doubles, nine RBI, and three runs with a .579 slugging percentage, right-fielder Taylor Ferguson (Charlton, Mass) was named the Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week.
It is the second time Ferguson has received the honor.
Ferguson moved into the lead-off spot this week, igniting the Bulldog offense for 27 runs in four games. He drove home four runs in game one of a doubleheader against Dominican and added two more in the second game. Against Merrimack on Thursday, he had four hits and three RBIs.
Teammates Nick Campbell (Raynham, Mass.), Jeff Vigurs (South Windsor, CT), Brent Almeida (Fairhaven, Mass.) and T.J. Magnell (Leominster, Mass.) have also received the freshman honors, while Kevin Cobb (Acton, Mass.) and Dan Lozeau (Pelham, NH) have captured pitcher of the week honors this season.
The Bulldogs, ranked third in the conference, (25-16, 17-7
NE-10) will visit Southern N.H. Tuesday (3:30 p.m.).
