RINDGE, NH -- The No. 23/28 Bryant University baseball team, ranked atop the Northeast Regional Poll for the second-straight week, earned the No. 1 seed in this weekend's Northeast-10 Conference Tournament, hosted by Franklin Pierce University.

The Bulldogs (38-17) claimed the top spot Saturday with two wins over Pace University in Pleasantville, NY to clinch the 2008 regular-season title, and could faceoff against the Setters (30-21) again, depending on the result of Wednesday's play-in game against UMass Lowell.

The tournament begins Wednesday, May 7 with a pair of single-elimination play-in games. Both games begin at 3:00 p.m.

The winners of each play-in will join the top-seeded Bulldogs and second-seeded Southern Connecticut (33-15), who each received first-round byes, for rounds two and three at Pappas Field May 9-11.
