LOH EARNS ALL-AMERICAN HONORABLE MENTION RECOGNITION FOR SECOND CONSECUTIVE YEAR

SMITHFIELD, RI - For the second time in as many years, Bryant University pitcher Eric Loh (Old Greenwich, Conn.) garnered All-American Honorable Mention accolades from the National Collegiate Baseball Writers' Association.

The 2008 graduate served as Bryant's undisputable ace in his junior and senior seasons, leaving the Bulldogs as one of the most decorated pitchers in school history. The righty starter adds this 2008 All-American bid to a long list of accolades received in his four-year Bulldog career.

As a senior in 2008, Loh earned All-Northeast-10 Conference and ACBA/Rawlings All-Region First Team honors, while being named to the Daktronics All-Region Second Team. The ace posted a 10-3 record with a 2.54 ERA in a team-high 102 innings pitched, also ranking in the nation's top-100 in ERA (28th), wins (15th) and hits allowed per nine innings (19th).

Loh's 10 wins paced the Bulldog staff, while his 14 game starts and 67 strikeouts were also team bests. His 2008 campaign placed him in the top-10 in several categories in the Bryant baseball record books, including wins in a season (ranks No. 2), innings pitched in a season (ranks No. 1) and strikeouts in a season (ranks tied for No. 5).

On June 14, Loh will make his second-straight appearance in the NEIBA New England College All-Star Game, held at noon at Fenway Park, after getting the start in last year's contest.

As a junior in 2007, Loh enjoyed an equally successful campaign, earning All-Conference and All-Region First Team honors, as well as being named the Northeast-10 Conference and Northeast Region Pitcher of the Year. Loh was also selected to the 2007 Daktronics All-American Third Team to go along with his NCBWA All-American Honorable Mention.

Loh finishes his four-year career with the second-most wins in program history (25) and the most career innings pitched all-time (345). The hurler ranks second all-time in career complete games (11) and ranks third all-time in career ERA (2.87) and career strikeouts (205).
