Bryant Bulldog Squash, founded in 1998 by Sameer Kanodia (2000, M.B.A. 2002), is a student-run club sport recognized by Bryant’s Department of Athletics and by the university’s Center for Student Involvement, a department within the Division of Student Affairs. Membership in the Bryant Squash Club is open to all Bryant students. Beginners are very welcome! The purpose of the club is to offer students the opportunity to learn and enjoy a sport that they can play for a lifetime, a sport that engages to the fullest extent both the body and the mind. The club is working to build a tradition of Bulldog Squash fostering friendship, health and fitness, and intercollegiate competition.

In season, the team practices weekday afternoons and evenings at the two squash courts in Bryant’s Multipurpose Athletic Center (MAC). Last year, the club celebrated the completed conversion of a second racquetball court, an effort spearheaded in cooperation with the Department of Athletics by past club president Yohan Sachdev (2010) and current president Cole Rochon (2012).

The Bryant Squash Club organizes and supports year-round play. During the competitive season, which runs from November 1 through March, Bryant plays a full collegiate schedule of 10-player matches as a member of the College Squash Association. In 2009-2010 and 2010-2011, Bryant was the finalist in the CSA’s Hawthorne Division.

John Wilson is in his 14th season as coach of Bulldog Squash.

Ron Gendron, the head coach of Bryant Men’s Tennis, is the team’s faculty advisor.
