After having a much needed week off for Thanksgiving, the Bulldogs had a tough weekend ahead of them.  Their opponent for Saturday night was the number 2 ranked team in the Northeast Region, Sienna College.  Sienna is always a top team, so the Bulldogs knew they were in for a fight Saturday night.  Although it turned out to be the best 60 minutes of hockey the Bulldogs have played all season, it unfortunately resulted in a heart-breaking loss.  The final was 2-1.  Freshman goalie Jason San Antonio , had one of his better games of the season despite the loss.  Jason has done well all season long, posting a 5-1 record.  After playing their best game of the season Saturday night, the Bulldogs knew they needed to carry that momentum forward and put forth the same effort Sunday afternoon.  Bryant squared off against Merrimack College and skated to a 5-2 victory.  Senior goalie and club President, Ryan Fullerton, had a very strong game in net.  Ryan, on multiple occasions, came through and made some great saves throughout the game to bring home the win.  After splitting the weekend games, the Bryant University Bulldogs are now 8-5-1 on the season.

This past weekend Bryant Club Volleyball played a two day tournament at Boston University.  On Saturday December 3rd, they experienced a less than anticipated showing.  They lost to BU, UPENN, and another club called the Bandits.  On Sunday the team picked up their play and beat another team called Brandeis.  The format for the game was first to 30 and the final score was 38-36 Bulldogs.  The volleyball team played another match that Sunday against UNH, who won the NCVF Division 1AA Championships last year.  The format for Sunday’s game was best of 3 games; first two games to 25 and the third game first to 15 win by two.  UNH won the first game, but Bryant took the second 27-25 and the third 15-11.  The Club Volleyball team will resume their season after the winter break.
