Football's Daniel and Wohlheter Named Player of Week

SMITHFIELD, RI - Bryant junior linebacker Greg Daniel was named the Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Week while defensive back and special teams standout Chris Wohlheter was named the Northeast-10 Conference Freshman of the Week the conference office announced Monday.

Daniel, a graduate of La Salle High School, led the Bulldogs with a career-high 15 tackles in the team's thrilling overtime win against Saint Anselm last Saturday.

13 of his tackles were solo stops including four for a loss of 21 yards and a career-best three sacks. The school record for tackles in a game is 16.

Wohlheter, a freshman from Newark, Ohio made eight tackles including six solo stops and added a career-best six pass breakups in the team's win over Saint Anselm. On special teams, Wohlheter returned four punts for 55 yards (long of 15) and returned a kickoff for 14 yards.
