SEVEN FOOTBALL PLAYERS NAMED ALL-CONFERENCE BY THE NORTHEAST-10
SMITHFIELD, RI - The Bryant University football team placed
seven student-athletes on the 2005 Northeast-10 Conference
All-Conference Football team, the most in school history.
Junior running back Lorenzo Perry (Providence, RI)
was named first-team all-conference with a school record 1,335
yards rushing and record 17 touchdowns.
Sophomore defensive lineman Jay Stahl (Methuen,
Mass.) was named first team defense with 40 tackles and
4.5 sacks. Earning second team all-conference were
senior fullback Drew Shaw (Gladwyne, Pa.),
sophomore guard Ralph Squitieri (Orangeburg, NY),
senior center Saddi Williams (Washington, D.C.),
senior linebacker Greg Daniel (Providence, RI),
and junior punter Mike Lajterman (Ramsey,
NJ). Daniel led the Bulldogs with a record 84
tackles in 2005.
In addition, Perry was named to the 2005 New England
Football Writers Division II/III All-New England team last week and
will be honored at the New England Football banquet Dec. 8 in
Randolph, Mass.
