Football Makes A Splash Thursday

SMITHFIELD, RI - Taking a break from the rigors of nine consecutive days of practice, the Bryant football team changed things up a bit on Thursday afternoon by cooling off with a dip in the Chace Athletic Center pool prior to donning the pads.  Joining the on-duty lifeguards, coaching staff, and a few curious onlookers from the gym above, the offense breezed to a relay win over the Bulldog defense.  The Bulldogs open the 2006 season against Southern Connecticut on Saturday, Sept. 2.  Kickoff at Bulldog Stadium is 3 p.m.
