GUNTHER TIES RECORD FOR SINGLE SEASON SACKS
Bryant University junior defensive end Mark Gunther
(Clarksburg, NJ) registered three quarterback sacks this past
Saturday in Bryant's 41-0 win over Saint Anselm at Bulldog
Stadium. The three sacks give's Gunther nine sacks for the
season, tying former standout Ben Wellington who had nine in
2002. Gunther, who picked up eight sacks last season, now has
a total of 18 for his career and needs just two more sacks to
become the all-time career sacks leader, passing Wellington's mark
of 19.5 set between the 1999 and 2002 seasons.
BULLDOGS DROP A SPOT DESPITE WIN
The Bulldogs dropped a spot to fifth in the NCAA Northeast
Regional Rankings this week, despite winning 41-0 to improve to 6-2

Connecticut has a road game at Stonehill and hosts Saint Anselm
