Perry and Wohlheter Honored by Northeast-10 Conference

EASTON, Mass. - Bryant senior running back Lorenzo Perry was named the Northeast-10 Conference Offensive Player of the Week after rushing for 233 yards in leading Bryant to a 34-7 win over Merrimack last Saturday at Bulldog Stadium. This is second Player of the Week honor for Perry who was named the conference's offensive player of the week back in week 1 of the 2006 season.
Perry had touchdown runs of 6 and 10 yards in the game with a long rush of 76 yards. For the season, Perry has 555 yards rushing after three games and leads the Northeast-10 Conference with 185.0 yards rushing per game.
Also honored this week was free safety Chris Wohlheter who returned an inteception 74 yards for a touchdown. For Wohlheter, the interception return came just two weeks after he returned an interception for a school-record 75 yards in the win over Southern Connecticut. For the season, the junior from Newark, Ohio is second on the team with 19 tackles.
