SMITHFIELD, RI - Bryant senior Lorenzo Perry (Providence, R.I.) and junior safety Chris Wohlheter (Newark, Ohio) were both named the Northeast-10 Conference Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week respectively the conference office announced this evening. Perry rushed for 190 yards and a school-record four touchdowns in Saturday's 49-20 win over Southern Connecticut.
Perry rushed for 190 yards (no yards loss) on 33 carries for the Bulldogs and scored two touchdown runs of 7 yards and added two more one-yard runs in the game. Perry has 1,525 yards in two seasons with the Bulldogs and needs just one more rushing touchdown to become the school's all-time career leader at 21.
Wohlheter had eight tackles in the win (four solo stops) and added a school-record 75-yard interception touchdown return in the game.
