SMITHFIELD, R.I. - Bryant linebacker PAUL POLOMSKI (Franklin, Mass. / Franklin HS) has been named the Northeast-10 Conference Defensive Player of the Week the conference office announced Monday.
Polomski, a sophomore, led Bryant's defensive charge in Saturday's 13-6 win over American International College at Bulldog Stadium, finishing the afternoon with six tackles, one fumble recovery, and two interceptions - both in the second half.
His 44-yard interception return for a touchdown in the fourth quarter helped seal the season opening victory.
Bryant will return to action this Friday night when the Bulldogs (1-0) travel to Merrimack College (0-1) for a Northeast-10 Conference game in North Andover, Mass. Kickoff is at 7 p.m.
