BULLDOGS KICK OFF SPRING FOOTBALL PRACTICE WEDNESDAY
SMITHFIELD, RI - The Bryant University football team opened spring
practice at the football practice field as nearly 90 returning
players suited up under sunny but brisk skies Wednesday afternoon.
Head coach Marty, now entering his sixth season, had the team run through various position drills and work stations during the two-hour practice.
This year's team returns 17 starters and 56 letterwinners from last year's 7-4 squad. Looking to challenge for the quarterback spot following the graduation of last year's starter Jay Graber is senior Kurt Spear (Greene, NY), junior Mike Croce (Waterbury, CT), senior Nick Scaredelli (Manalapan, NJ) and senior Zack Norley (Sudbury, MA).
The team will have 14 more practices including two scrimmages leading up to the annual Black & Gold Spring game on Sunday, April 19 (1 pm).
