Six exciting home games highlight 2011 football schedule
It's time to starting looking ahead to the 2011 Bryant University football season. The Bulldogs head into year four competing at the Division I level fresh off a 7-4 season in 2010 that saw the team finish fourth in the Northeast Conference.
2011 season tickets are currently on sale now online at www.bryantbulldogs.com and can be purchased at the annual Black & Gold Spring Football game on Saturday, April 16 at Bulldog Stadium. The 2011 schedule features six exciting home games beginning September 10 when the Bulldogs renew their old NE-10 rivalry with American International at 1 p.m. Wagner (Sept. 24), Stonehill (Oct. 8), Monmouth (Oct. 15), Saint Francis, PA (Nov. 12) and Central Connecticut (Nov. 19) round out the 2011 slate.
Head coach Marty Fine returns 17 starters including starting quarterback Mike Croce and the electrifying Jordan Brown this fall. Croce helped engineer one of the best offenses in the league and will have a strong cast of returning tailbacks and receivers at his disposal again this fall.
Perhaps none better than Brown who led the NEC in rushing with 1,410 yards rushing and all purpose yards with 1,986, scoring with 108 points (15 rushing TDs, one receiving TD, and two kick returns for touchdowns).
