Brad Baker begins his first season as the Director of Football Operations and NFL Liasion for the Bryant University football team in 2017-18.
Baker comes to Smithfield with a wealth of football experience under his belt. He spent the last three months as a social media consultant with the Princeton University football program, increasing the team social media followers by 913 accounts in a six-week span.
From 2013-2016, Baker served as a training camp operations intern for the Chicago Bears. He was the main contact for players and staff that needed assistance, coordinated with staff and team on schedule and practice changes and was responsible for all communication and mail on a daily basis. In addition, Baker handled new player arrivals, meal check-ins and post-camp housing.
Baker spent the fall of 2015 as the assistant director of football operations and the director of football social media at Princeton. He assisted with official recruiting visits, handled all team travel, maintained ARMS recruiting database and maintained prospective student-athlete stats database for coaches. Baker was also responsible for creating a new brand for the football program on social media, increasing the program's following by nearly 40 percent.
In 2014, Baker spent three months working as a volunteer in football analysis with the San Francisco 49ers. He was responsible for data collection of college stats over the last 25 seasons.
Baker graduated from Iowa State in 2014 and served as a student assistant in football operations and recruiting for three years. He assisted the director of football operations with signing day, fall camp, summer camps and coaches clinics, while serving as the primary contact for team meals. Baker also assisted in bowl game prep and the screening of recruit film.
