A native of Newport, RI, Art Bell begins his first
year with the Bulldogs in ‘07. A graduate of Rogers HS,
Bell played at Bridgewater State (1979) before transferring to URI
where he was a member of the 1981 Yankee Conference
Champions. He would earn varsity letters at URI in 1981, 982,
83. Bell was the head football coach at Salve Regina from 2000-05
and recently was an assistant at Middletown HS. In
addition, he was an assistant at Salve Regina (1995-99), Portsmouth
HS (1986-91) and Portsmouth Abbey (1985). In 2003, Bell
received his master's degree at the University of Rhode Island.
