FOOTBALL HEADS TO SACRED HEART SATURDAY FOR 1 PM KICKOFF

The Bryant University football team looks to snap a four-game losing skid, the first such streak under coach Marty Fine and first since the 2000 season when the Bulldogs dropped five in-a-row, this Saturday afternoon when the Bulldogs travel to Fairfield, Conn. to face the Pioneers of Sacred Heart University for SHU’s Homecoming. The game will be carried live on WOON 1240 AM with John McCarthy and Robb Garafalo.

FOOTBALL COMES UP SHORT AT MONMOUTH FALLING 10-6 SATURDAY

WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. – The Bryant football team got a pair of field goals from kicker Chris Bird but it was not enough as the Bulldogs came up short at Monmouth, 10-6 Saturday in Northeast Conference action. Jerell Smith rushed for 139 yards on 32 carries while sophomore quarterback Mike Croce completed 8 of 19 passes for 79 yards on a windy afternoon to lead the way.

Senior defensive end Don Smith registered two sacks against Monmouth Saturday, moving him into fourth all-time with 17 career sacks.
