Patat Breaks Record, Bulldogs Fall 3-1

WALTHAM, MASS. ? Bryant senior goalkeeper Kristen Patat (Portsmouth, NH) made 25 saves in 3-1 loss to Bentley College last night in Waltham. Patat?s 25 saves in the game breaks the previous record of 21 also accomplished by her in 2001 game against Mansfield.
Bentley scored a pair of unassisted goals to take a 2-0 lead into halftime. The Falcon goals were scored by Lindsey Harrington 9:21 into the game and by Jenn Walker with one minute reaming in the first. The Falcons out shot the Bulldogs 30-to-2 in the half.
Early in the second half Bentley scored when Heather Buda scored an unassisted goal 1:15 into the half. Bryant (2-5) got on the board late when junior Maureen Burns (Derry, NH) scored a goal off an assist from freshman Courtney O?Brien (Tewksbury, Mass.) with 3:32 left to play making the final score 3-1.
Bentley finished with a 44-6 edge in shots and a 10-4 advantage in penalty corners.
The Bulldogs next game will be Saturday as part of Homecoming Weekend when Bryant will host Saint Anselm College. The game is set to start at 4:00PM at the Bryant Field Hockey Complex.
