Field Hockey Drops 1-0 Decision at Merrimack

North Andover, Mass. ? Merrimack College scored 43 seconds into the game and defeated the Bryant University field hockey team 1-0 in a game played Tuesday in North Andover, Mass.

Merrimack?s Lauren McNeil picked up the game-winning goal in the first minute after taking a pass from teammate Kristen Belair.

Bryant (5-9) held a decisive advantage on offense for much of the game, out-shooting the Warriors 9-2 and in corner attempts 9-3, but could not convert the opportunities into goals.

Amy Larrabee got the win in goal for Merrimack making nine saves while Bryant?s Kristen Patat (Portsmouth, NH) made one save in the loss.

Bryant will return to action Monday, October 11, when they travel to Saint Anselm. Game time is set for 4:00PM.
