Bryant Falls to Southern Connecticut 5-2

NEW HAVEN, CT - The Bryant University field hockey team lost 5-2 yesterday to Southern Connecticut State in game played at New Haven.
Cori Krajewski, who had a hat trick for the Owls, led Southern Connecticut to the victory. She scored two of her goals in the first half and one in the second. Her first goal at 23:57 was an unassisted goal, and then on her other two goals she got assists from Rachel Ragusa.
Bryant (3-6) got on the board first when sophomore Michaela Dwyer (Buskirk, NY) scored unassisted goal at 20:07 mark to give the Bulldogs the early 1-0 lead. From that point the Owls went on two score three straight goals.
Bryant did get one more goal on the night when senior Krista Gambacorta (Harrison, NY) scored with 38 seconds left in the half on an assist from freshman Courtney O?Brien (Tewksbury, Mass.).
Senior goalkeeper Kristen Patat (Portsmouth, NH) made 12 saves in goal for Bryant.
Bryant next game will be Saturday, when they travel to Franklin Pierce. Game time is set for 10:30AM.
